Recent updates and highlights!

I feel like I am finally getting into a "routine" and figuring out what a typical week for me will look like. Every week and campus visit looks differently so I am learning to be flexible, but I now know what schools I will be working on and can better mangage my time...which is a blessing!

I am really excited to be working with SCC Lincoln, SCC Beatrice, Union College, Wesleyan College, and Peru State College, and Chadron State College.

Here is an update about what the past few weeks have looked like:

Union College
Campus Crusade has had a presence on Union College before, but we have never had a solid connection with any students. It was such a blessing when my ministry partner and I walked onto the college and "happened" to run into a student who was wanting to reach out to her fellow students around her and desired to see small group Bible studies pop up all over campus. This student's vision is almost exactly inline with Campus Crusade for Christ's vision. Currently, we are forming a partnership with some Union Students to help move their campus forward with this vision!

Wesleyan College
One of the biggest blesses on Wesleyan campus for me is the relationships I am forming with the student leadership team. I have really enjoyed getting to know each one of the girl student leaders on a more personal basis and challenge them in their walk with God. The ministry at Wesleyan has a solid group of leaders, so its been lots of fun just being intentional and one-on-one with the leaders to help challenge them and develop them into laborers for Christ.

SCC Lincoln
I am really excited to be working with the SCC Lincoln ministry again! For me, the biggest highlight so far was a meeting that we set up for all the student leaders and faculty who has been a support to get the ministry going over the years. It was so good to walk away from the meeting knowing everyone was on the same page and ready to move forward with God's vision. I am excited to see how much the ministry grows and develops over the next year. We have amazing leaders who are willing to be used!

SCC Beatrice
This Thursday we are getting ready to have a Pizza Party, which will mark the official launching date. Please pray for students leaders to be surfaced on this campus so we can get things rolling!

Peru State College
For me, Peru State College is one of the funnest campuses to visit. The students are so welcoming when we come to visit! Along with Wesleyan, I am excited to get the chance to be intentional with the female leadership at Peru. Small group movements are just begining on the campus, so I am excited to see how God will use those throughout the year.

Chadron State College
Chadron State College is the model school for the vision behind Campus Crusade for Christ: Nebraska Catalytic. The school started out the year launching 20 spiritual movements all across their campus and dorm floors and since then their movements have been doubling in size and splitting. We can not visit Chadron as often as we would like, but God is moving with or without us being there...its pretty amazing. Since their movements are muliplying, their Big weekly meeting is also growing in size. 100 plus students attend each Wednesday for worship and fellowship with other students. Its not about the numbers that come each week, its about individual life transformation. Praise God that this is happening through the small movements on campus that these 100 students are getting plugged into!

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog! I'll post again in a few weeks!
